The tuple command on Linux is now the Tuple CLI, the same CLI that ships with the macOS and Windows clients. Some commands from the original Linux client are gone, some are renamed, and some still work unchanged. Run tuple --help to see which commands your installed version supports.

Removed commands

These commands no longer work. Use the Tuple CLI command instead. If a <person> argument matches more than one contact, the command fails and lists the matches. Use a more specific name or the full email address. See the command reference for every flag.

Renamed commands

These commands have new names. The earlier names still work but print a warning, so update your scripts.

Unchanged commands

These Linux-only commands work as before:
  • tuple login
  • tuple auth <code>
  • tuple logout
tuple version and tuple --version print the app version. These commands still work but are deprecated:
  • tuple new
  • tuple share and tuple unshare
  • tuple ui
  • tuple settings and tuple set <name> <value>
See Tuple for Linux for details on Linux-only and deprecated commands.
